Alternate Transportation Policy

Our staff at Jaguar Chicago knows that being without your vehicle can be quite an inconvenience. This is why we have an array of alternate transportation to meet the needs of our clients as much as possible. If you are waiting on a minor maintenance fix or service, like an oil change, you can comfortably wait in our customer lounge and take advantage of our complimentary wi-fi and modified beverage station. A charging station for electronics is also provided free of charge. 

We also offer free pick up and drop off shuttle services within five (5) miles of the dealership. This shuttle runs Monday through Friday during normal business hours, providing convenient round-trip service by appointment.

Looking to get a little exercise? We also have three Divvy stations conveniently located a half mile or less from the dealership, and the 606 bike trail, which is only a block and a half away from the dealership, is open for your enjoyment. 

Other options located near the dealership are the Metra, CTA buses, the Blue Line, and we are conveniently located right off of the Kennedy expressway at Armitage for our clients using Uber and Lyft.

Loaner vehicles are offered under the following conditions:

  • Loaner Vehicles are available by appointment only. We realize when your vehicle is not operational, or has a problem that is safety related, it is not possible to wait for an appointment. We will make every attempt to accommodate you if this is the case. Our Service Department will assist you in that situation.
  • A courtesy loaner vehicle is only offered for repair services that are expected to take more than two (2) hours. We do not provide loaner vehicles for Body Shop repairs, but we can assist you in obtaining a rental vehicle should you need one.
  • We have a limited number of Jaguar and Land Rover loaners, so we cannot guarantee that you will receive a Jaguar or Land Rover to drive on every visit. They are loaned out on a first come, first served basis. If no Jaguar or Land Rover loaners are available, we will attempt to provide alternate transportation for your use.
  • The driver must present a valid driver's license, credit/debit card, and proof of insurance with proper coverage (Liability limits of at least 100/300/50, ask your adviser for more details) before obtaining a loaner vehicle. You will remain liable, and therefore are advised to contact your insurance company in case of damage or accident as your insurance company is the primary carrier and you will remain ultimately responsible. Only the person(s) named on the Loaner Vehicle Agreement and their spouses are permitted to operate the Loaner Vehicle. Due to insurance regulations, the drivers of loaner vehicles must be at least 21 years of age. We DO NOT accept the following insurance companies:

     Unique Insurance Co. Fred Loya Insurance Co.
     Insure One Insurance Co. Xpert Insurance Co.
     Talro Insurance Co. Magnum Insurance
     Lincoln Insurance Co. 
  • The insurance company list is subject to change at any time and without notice. There may be other insurance companies that we do not accept that do not appear on this list. Please contact the service department with any questions. 
  • Drivers named on the Loaner Vehicle Agreement are responsible for all charges incurred against the vehicle during use, including tolls, parking and moving violation tickets, fees, penalties, damages, and any additional costs incurred by Howard Orloff Imports. An administrative fee of $50.00 will be charged for processing these charges.
  • As a convenience to our other clients, the Loaner Vehicle must be returned within twenty-four (24) hours of notification that the service on your vehicle is complete and your vehicle is ready for pick-up. A daily usage/late fee of $75.00 and a daily storage fee of $95.00 will be charged for every 24-hour period thereafter, if the Loaner Vehicle is not returned.
  • You are required to return the loaner vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was provided when you received the vehicle. If the service loaner is not returned with the correct amount of fuel, you will be charged $40.00 per quarter tank that is missing.
  • Loaner vehicles may not be taken on vacations and are to be operated only within a 50-mile radius of our dealership. Mileage is restricted to 100 miles per day. A mileage fee of $0.50 per mile will be charged to any customer who exceeds the daily mileage allowance.
  • There is no smoking of any kind inside the loaner vehicles. Pets are not allowed in loaner vehicles. A cleaning fee of $300.00 will be charged to the driver who smokes or transports pets in the loaner vehicle.  
  • Howard Orloff Imports cannot be responsible for any personal items or articles left behind. Please remove all personal belongings and debris when you are finished with the loaner.
